„Since expecting my oldest son Gabriel I always wanted to write baby and children books about Luxembourg to accompany them throughout their childhood no matter where we lived at the time. I was sadly unable to do this then. Therefore, when I got pregnant with my youngest son Theodor I took my courage and submitted my ideas to Editions Schortgen. As a Luxembourger and mother, I always found it of extreme importance to share and explore Luxembourgish traditions and culture within our family structure. I have also taught my step daughter Julia who is American from birth to appreciate the Luxembourgish traditions which she does very much. These books give every child and every family no matter where you are from or live the chance to experience Luxembourgs heritage and culture in a playful way.“ – (Tessy Antony-de Nassau)

Dame Tessy Antony-de Nassau ist eine Geschäftsfrau, Investorin, Beraterin, UNAids-Botschafterin, Rednerin und Mutter.
Sie hat ihren Master-Abschluss mit Auszeichnung in internationalen Studien und Diplomatie an der SOAS-Universität London gemacht. Sie hat ein Diplom als Borddirektorin vom IMD. Vor ihrem Masterstudium verbrachte Tessy 6 Jahre in der Luxemburgischen Armee und wurde im Alter von 18 Jahren als einzige Frau ihres Jahrgangs in den Kosovo entsandt.
Nach ihrem Masterabschluss wurde Tessy zur Direktorin für EMEA Impact bei VICE Media UK ernannt. Anschließend gründete sie 2018 ihr eigenes Beratungsunternehmen, das Dienstleistungen in den Bereichen Nachhaltigkeit und Entwicklung anbietet.Tessy ist stolze Mitbegründerin von Human Highness, einer 2019 gegründeten Haute-Couture-Modelinie.

Ihr Engagement für Bildung zeigt sich in ihrer Wohltätigkeitsorganisation Professors Without Borders, die sie vor 7 Jahren mitbegründet hat. Tessy half bei der Ausweitung ihrer Wohltätigkeitsorganisation auf 21 Länder und leitete in dieser Zeit die gesamte Mittelbeschaffung sowie den Betrieb und die Einbindung wichtiger Interessengruppen. Sie verließ ihre Wohltätigkeitsorganisation im Dezember 2022.

Darüber hinaus ist Tessy Botschafterin für UNAIDS (Global Advocate for Young Women and Adolescent Girls) und Schirmherrin von UNA-UK zusammen mit Lord Malloch Brown, dem Schöpfer der Millenniumsziele der Vereinten Nationen (jetzt nachhaltige Entwicklungsziele).

Tessy wurde im Januar 2023 Mitglied des Beirats von UnaTerra VC. Sie ist außerdem Botschafterin der Cherie Blair Foundation und von World Minds.

Tessy wurde 2009 von S.K.H. Großherzog Henri von Luxemburg mit dem Orden für zivile und militärische Verdienste des Adolph von Nassau ausgezeichnet. Außerdem erhielt sie im Januar 2017 die Auszeichnung „Woman of the Decade“ des Women Economic Forum, und den Global Empowerment Award für ihre Arbeit in Afrika. Von der Leadership Academy in Luxemburg wurde sie zum „Leader of the Year 2019“ ernannt.

Im Mai 2019 erhielt Tessy die Ehrendoktorwürde der Pariser Hochschule der Künste für ihre Arbeit in und um die Bildung weltweit.

Tessy erhielt weitere Auszeichnungen für ihre Arbeit:

• TIAW World of Difference Award für den herausragenden Beitrag zur wirtschaftlichen Stärkung von Frauen,Australien.

• Freedom of the City of London als erste luxemburgische Bürgerin in der Geschichte der Stadt

Tessy ist die Mutter von 3 Söhnen.
